The initial funding for the sixpartswater project has been generously provided by The Cannon Foundation (charity registered in England number 1121623), but we now need to expand the range of content and develop the site itself independently of the Cannon Foundation.

Commissioning medically approved content for the Knowledge Centre on a commercial basis is expensive and our continued development of the Knowledge Centre is dependent on our ability to secure donated, rather than paid for, content and where we do have to pay for it, to raise further funds.   Going forward, we anticipate that future finance for this part of will come from the following sources:

  • public donations and fundraising activities (see Get Involved - Donate)
  • grants from charitable foundations and trusts
  • commercial sponsorship from leading companies (see the Get Involved - Sponsorship for more details) that are carefully and responsibly chosen

Those parts of the site that are sponsored will be clearly marked so that it is obvious to our users where and how sponsorship is used.

We also hope to set up mutually beneficial co-operation and partnerships with third-party organisations.

We are keen to hear from established medical writers who would be willing to work with us and donate content for the Knowledge Centre.  And from doctors who are willing to review our Knowledge Centre content to make sure it is accurate and up to date.  Likewise if you can assist us produce more media content or develop the web site.

If you are willing to help, please Contact Us.

We will keep our general running costs to a minimum, using volunteers wherever possible, and hope that these will be covered by donations from people who wish to support our project.

We do not expect to carry advertising on the site.
